Working with Appli-Tec

How do I inquire about ordering PMF adhesives?

Before we begin the order process, please see our Starting an RFQ page. This information will help you gather the information we need to help you.

Will we need to purchase a cryogenic freezer to store our PMF adhesives?

Yes. Pre-mixed and frozen adhesives must be stored at -40°C or below. However, before you purchase a freezer, Appli-Tec is happy to loan you a one cubic foot freezer in order to determine if PMF adhesives will improve your process.

The freezer plugs into any standard electrical outlet and maintains a temperature of -70°C. We can either deliver the freezer to you if you’re within a few hours driving distance, or ship it to you on a crate. Please call if you’d like to try a freezer for 4 – 6 weeks.

We would like to tour your facility. How do we arrange for this?

Any customer or prospective customer is welcome to tour our facility to see how we manufacture our precision-mixed and frozen adhesives. To arrange for a tour and consultation, please send an email to service@appli-tec.com.

How do we extend the shelf life of our material?

Unfortunately, adhesives do have a specific shelf-life. Once the expiration date has passed, the material can no longer be used.

How long does it take to thaw frozen adhesive material?

Depending on its packaging, PMF material usually thaws within 10 to 30 minutes. Please see our Material Handling Tips for additional information on thaw times.

How do we know that our frozen material is good to use once it arrives?

Appli-Tec ships all PMF materials in dry ice enclosed in a styrofoam box. Within each box is a green indicator tube which lets you know if your material was subjected to temperatures above -40°C at any time during the shipping or receiving process. Please see our Indicator Tube page for additional details.

How many adhesive formulas do you process?

We regularly sell over 500 different adhesive formulations.

Which certifications do you hold?

Appli-Tec is AS-9100, ISO-9001 certified. Appli-Tec is also ITAR registered.

Our material was discontinued. Can you offer a replacement?

Most likely, yes. Over the years we’ve built solid relationships with raw material adhesive manufacturers. We can help you select a replacement raw material that meets your specifications and that will be available for years to come.
