Process Variables that Affect Your Adhesive Mix

When mixing adhesives in-house, engineering managers typically assume that if a small number of parts or components fail, it’s because the adhesive mix ratio (Part A to Part B) was incorrect.

When failure happens, it’s easy enough to mix another batch.

Most likely, it’s not the mix ratio. If the mixing process isn’t fully documented, and traceability inconsistent, it’s difficult to know if failure is due to the adhesive, the component, or something gone awry in the process.
